As a sufferer of Rheumatoid Arthritis, I specialise in helping patients with this condition.
RA is an autoimmune disease. This means your immune system – which usually fights infection – attacks the cells that line your joints by mistake, making the joints swollen, stiff and painful. Over time, this can damage the joint itself, the cartilage and nearby bone.
I can guide you to eat a diet that will help to reduce the inflammation in your body, support your immune system and improve your pain and stiffness. Improve your Bone health!
Type two Diabetes is now an extremely common condition that causes the level of sugar (glucose) in the blood to become too high. It can also increase your risk of getting serious problems with your eyes, heart and nerves.

I have an RCN Accredited certificate in Diabetes in Healthcare and have helped a number of patients significantly reduce their blood sugar levels/ HBa1c over a period of several months.

Personalised for You
Food Coach Weight Loss Plan
I need help! Nothing seems to work!
If our insulin levels are too high, it encourages our body to store too much fat and then it becomes increasingly harder to shed weight no matter how much we diet. My plan will lower these insulin levels and kickstart your weight loss.
What types of food can I eat?
The plan is not faddy but based on eating foods from all the different food groups.
You will be eating healthy, normal food that can be purchased in a supermarket.
How much excess weight will I lose over a month?
This will depend on your age, gender, body composition and general fitness. The expected average loss
is 7 – 14lbs per month*.
Is it important to take exercise?
Have you given up taking exercise because you just don’t have the energy anymore?
It is so much harder to get motivated to exercise when we are carrying extra weight.
Once you have lost that first bit of weight then getting back to exercise will encourage fat loss and increase your metabolic rate.
How easy is it going to be to maintain my weight loss?
The food coach uses behaviour change techniques to help you make lasting changes. The last
stage of the programme will deal with weight maintenance and ongoing support will be available as required during this stage.
How will behaviour change techniques help me?
- Help to prevent damaging habits
- Educated, empowered and in control of your diet
- Understand why you adopt the eating patterns you do
- Explore problems that may be impacting negatively on your motivation and make the necessary changes
- Improved management of existing health issues.
How much does the Plan cost?
That depends on the amount of weight that you want to lose, how long you take to complete the stages and the amount of support that you require during the programme. You can decide on this after your first consultation.
How does the program work?
Your first consultation will be a thorough assessment of your health profile, food diary and general nutrition also your planning and time management, lifestyle, exercise, motivational drivers and so on. This will enable the food coach to ensure that the program can be adapted to fit your personal requirements.
To allow the food Coach to understand your current barriers, health concerns and goals. You will need to work with her over a period so that you can work through your revised eating plan and behavioural goals together. A one-off appointment is unlikely to be enough to help you.
Then, dependant on which program package you choose and what you want to achieve, the following benefits will be available to you:
- Behavioural change goals will be given and monitored over a six week to twelve-month treatment program
- A Personalised Nutrition plan can be drawn up that is based on your food preferences, your health conditions/lifestyle
- Detailed feedback on your food diary, which can be emailed through to me between sessions.
- Monitoring of your activity levels and implementation of an exercise program
- Sessions/modules aimed at; motivation, planning, barriers to weight loss, education on nutrition and health issues, cooking and portion control. All dependant on what you require.
- The full package can also include food shopping tours and practical advice.
- Advice and support between sessions by email or telephone.
*Results are not guaranteed and vary from person to person.
Having the correct balance of carbohydrates, protein, hydration and ensuring optimum levels of vitamins and minerals in our diet have a huge effect on our energy levels, sleep patterns, mood, and concentration as well as on our digestion, immunity and general health.
Your eating patterns can also have an enormous impact on your insulin and hunger levels.
My nutritional MOT will give you knowledge and insight into all of this and help to motivate you to improve your health.
Have your food diary assessed by the food coach ANutr and learn how simple dietary changes can positively impact your health and help you to regain your vitality.
I will give you recommendations for practical and achievable dietary changes that are aimed at making a noticeable difference to your overall health and wellbeing. Tailored diet plans to suit your lifestyle and preferences can also be added to your package.
I will assess your body composition to determine fat %, muscle mass, fat around the middle, BMI, and discuss the implications of poor body composition on long term health. You will be given a printout carrying the above information as well as information relating to your hydration levels, bone mass, ideal body weight, BMR and metabolic age.
A large number of studies over the last 25 years have demonstrated links between gut health and our immune system, mood, mental health, autoimmune diseases, endocrine disorders, skin conditions, and cancer. Our ‘Gut Microbiome’ refers to about 300 to 500 different species of bacteria that live in our digestive tract. While some microorganisms are harmful to our health, many are incredibly beneficial and even vital to a healthy body.
I can help you to improve your gut flora and increase the level of friendly bacteria by making changes to your diet and/or going on my six-week food coach CLEANSE programme. I can also advise you on the use of probiotics.
I have attended several study days over the last few years on the latest insights into Nutrition and Probiotic research in conjunction with the Association for Nutrition.
Feel amazing and rejuvenated!
IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) is a condition of our digestive systems that can cause uncomfortable bouts of stomach cramps, bloating, diarrhoea and constipation.
According to modern medicine there is no cure for IBS, however symptoms can be improved by changing your diet and lifestyle.
The exact cause for IBS remains a mystery, but it’s believed that it may be triggered by stress, our immune systems or a problem with how the muscles of your gut squeeze food through your bowel.
So, what do we do when we have corrected nutritional deficiencies, food sensitivities and made major lifestyle changes? What if we still have it?
Could it be that you are suffering from an overgrowth of Candida?
Do you suffer from a bloated stomach, sugar cravings, unexplained fatigue, thrush, upset stomach, wind, PMT, cystitis, skin rashes, food intolerances, nail infections, acne, muscular pain, inflammation of the joints, weight fluctuations?
It gets worse: memory loss, depression, dizziness, nausea, numbness/tingling, mood swings and a foggy brain?
If you have some of the above symptoms there is a strong likelihood that you may have an imbalance of unfriendly gut bacteria. Contact The Food Coach.
